This project was created for the Hookah Lounge at Tawa Indian Restaurant, Bar, & Lounge, located at 487 Glenbrook Road in Stamford Ct. The challenge was to create a mural that featured a peacock and a hookah, and invited photo sharing on social media, while fitting into an irregularly shaped wall. I loved having the freedom to include my favorite subject, animals, as well as plenty of bright color. The tail of the peacock gave me a way to connect the broken up space as well as a way to frame a distant view in contrast to the close up peacock and hookah. I installed the 7’x26’ mural with help from my team of young artists at Stamford Murals.
